A few years ago, when developing an allergy to gluten, I was also instructed not to consume foods that contain dairy products or sugar -a fierce challenge for a sweet loving person like me!
I found refuge in my childhood passion and ‘therapy’: baking! Apron mode activated.. and the mission: baking my own sweets and nothing less than the invention of little healthy creations to satisfy my cravings for yummy.
Eventually, I was not the only one yummying! First the family, then close friends, then friends of friends and the list kept on growing to reach a point beyond the capacity of my modest home kitchen!
It felt just right and great: it is time to take this sweet tale to the next level.. Baptised Innocent Sweets, the project officially launched in Beirut on October 10, 2018.
